Firstly, you will choose the wheelchair that best suits your needs from our wide range of active manual wheelchairs. Then you will make a cash deposit. This amount can vary depending on the total cost of your chosen chair and your financial possibilities. We will set up a direct debit arrangement for twelve monthly payments for the balance. These payments are interest-free, so you will not end up paying any more for your new wheelchair. As soon as you pay your deposit and the payments are set up you will receive your new active manual wheelchair.
Yes, most people who need a wheelchair can receive financial assistance through the NHS wheelchair service. We can help you to obtain a voucher, known as a Personal Wheelchair Budget (PWB).
You will need to get a referral from your healthcare practitioner and pass through an evaluation process. If you qualify, the NHS will offer you a basic wheelchair, or you can opt for the voucher of the same value.
