Frog Legs were designed over 20-years ago
Frog Legs were designed over 20-years ago to meet the needs of a quadriplegic football team who were suffering injuries and discomfort during bumpy riding.
The designer, Mark Chelgren, discovered that 80-percent of the vibrations perceived by the user enters through the wheelchair’s front caster forks and the caster wheels.
He set about to change this, and after getting the patent in 1997 -production began. Frog Legs now produce four distinct types of forks, which come in different sizes, and three different wheels, to meet the different needs of wheelchair users looking for comfortable pushing.
