you will find self-propelling easier and tight manoeuvring will require less effort. Additionally,
these covers are soft and warm to the touch. Also, if your pushrims are chipped or damaged
they provide a perfect cover to upgrade your chair’s appearance.
Grip. Wheelchair pushrim covers provide greater grip. Having a better grip makes it easier to self-propel. You will be able to go faster and further with less effort. A better grip provides better traction, and that is what is necessary for effective pushing power.
Having a better grip also makes turning on the spot far easier. You will find many tight manoeuvres require less effort when you have a better grip on your pushrims. Additionally, you will have all-over better control of your chair, making for a safer ride.

Your pushrims will be smaller than your tyres and they do vary between different brands of wheels., however the covers themselves being rubber do stretch a little so fit a slight variation.
For the purpose of ordering these wheelchair push rim covers the sizes in the dropdown above are based on your actual wheels – with the sizes being as below:
Size A = 20 inch actual cover size diameter, for use with 24-25 inch wheels / tyres.
Size B = 18.5 inch actual cover size diameter, for use with 20-22 inch wheels / tyres.
If you have our off road wheelchair wheels then you will need Size B as these have 22 inch rims, with a 2 inch tyre to make them 24 inch overall, but the pushrims are fitted to the 22 inch rim.
Wheels do vary between different makes and models – so please measure your rims and double check!
If you enjoy getting off the beaten track and tackling different terrains these pushrim covers are a must-have. If you are purchasing covers for your all-terrain wheels you should select the 22-inch size as these wheels are slightly smaller than normal to accommodate the special off-roading tyres.

I’ve had these pushrim covers for about 6 months now and I really love them. I struggle with Tendonitis and chronic joint pain especially in my hands and wrists so these help avoid that strain so I can push myself and not rely on a carer as much.
They keep the pushrims a lot warmer too so my hands don’t get really cold too.
My only issue with them is they are super slippy in the rain but the bare pushrims are just as bad.
I would definitely recommend them and they are well worth the money
